Zebra GK420d Setup Driver Download

The Zebra GK420d setup uses a driver install for the first time printer setup.

IMPORTANT:
Do not connect your Zebra GK420d printer to your computer before installing the driver!

Because if you connect the Zebra GK420d to the computer via USB before driver installation, the printer may appear as an unknown or undefined anonymous device in “Devices and Printers” in the control panel.

Notes:
This method can also be used to install the Zebra GK420d printer which has previously been reset.

Zebra GK420d driver

1. Download and install the Zebra Setup Utilities (ZSU) printer configuration utility for the Zebra GK420d.

Zebra GK420d Windows Printer Driver v5 is included with the ZSU download. To install the driver, select “Install New Printer” on the ZSU interface and proceed to the next step.

2. Connect the printer

Connect the Zebra GK420d printer to a USB port on your computer.

Connecting the Zebra GK420d to the Device. The Zebra GK420d printer supports various interface options and configurations:

  • Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface.
  • RS-232 series
  • Parallel (IEEE 1284.4)
  • Ethernet 10/100

The Zebra Setup Utility GK420d is designed to help you install this interface.

Before connecting, be sure to review the cabling and unique parameters for each physical printer communication interface in Zebra GK420d Interface Cabling and Interface Cabling Requirements.

This will help you make configuration setup choices before and immediately after powering the Zebra GK420d printer.

Keep the power switch in the OFF position when attaching the interface cable. The power cable must be connected to the power supply and power socket on the back of the printer before you connect or disconnect communication cables.

The Zebra GK420d Setup Utility wizard will instruct you to turn on the printer at the appropriate time to complete the printer installation.
