The Epson WorkForce DS-870 scanner is capable of repairing and restoring documents and photos. Epson scanners provide the right digitization solution and are easy to use for home and office environments.

DS 870 is a desktop scanner that also features a duplex scanner. This latest Epson scanner is supported by a light source with ReadyScan LED technology, where the LED light on the scanner does not require warm-up time and is able to work immediately with minimum energy consumption, which makes it an environmentally friendly product.

It is carried with two types of scanners found on the WorkForce DS 870, namely the A4 sheet-fed scanner and the one-pass duplex color scanner. Sheet-fed is a scanner that can scan files in a single form, such as sheets of books, magazines, or newspapers that have been separated from their full form.

For the duplex function, it is a feature that can read 2 sides of a document or sheet simultaneously. For example, my friend multiplied 20 pages back and forth with the direct capture to 40 pages. Besides being able to speed up scanning work, some products with the duplexing feature have the ability to delete blank pages.

Scanner Speed

Scanner Resolution

For a scanner to have a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi is a very high resolution. With a resolution of that size, it is certain that the results of each scan process will be more detailed than the original document. Moreover, this scanner is carried with a Contact Image Sensor (CIS) type sensor.

The Contact Image Sensor is a type of sensor that belongs to the Epson WorkForce DS-870, which is another type of scanning technology. Instead of using standard lenses to reduce the original image to the sensor, CIS technology combines multiple optical lens fibers to transfer the original image information to the sensor array.

Connectivity

The connectivity options offered by this latest Epson scanner are quite limited, namely by using a USB 3.0 interface. Or you can add your own ethernet network (optional) depending on your scan needs.
